Dear Prospective Master Student:
Welcome to the FIBAA Accredited Programme offered by the Faculty of Businessand Economics at the University of Applied Sciences Schmalkalden.
We are highly committed to being an educational institution of excellence in the fields of business and economics. Located in a small town almost in the geographical center of Germany, we aim at an international group of students and expect about half of our master students to have an international background and to come from different countries.
This constellation in conjunction with small class sizes, a modern campusbuilding with state-of-the-art technology and a high level of interaction between students and faculty members provide a learning environment you may not find elsewhere.
This program reflects our idea to provide our most valued assets - our students - with a truly international approach in a unique program and to prepare them for asuccessful professional career in business or for their subsequent research.
The Master of Arts in International Business and Economics will start in October, and is a two-year research-basedquality program with a strong international focus.
The first year (two semesters) will take place from:
- Monday, October 5, 2009 (day of arrival in Schmalkalden - due to limited accommodation an earlier arrival in Schmalkalden is not possible), Tuesday, 7 October (opening ceremony) to Friday, February 19, 2010 and
- Monday, March 29, 2010 to Friday, July 30, 2010
