Sports and Fitness

No campus without sports programs. On the University of Applied Sciences Schmalkalden this consists of individual and guided trainings, courses and events. The program covers endurance run, jiu-jitsu, badminton, salsa aerobics and many more.

The so called SCHMALYMPIC GAMES take place every year in June on the campus of the University of Applied Sciences Schmalkalden. According to the world famous "Olympic Games" the campus transforms into the SCHMALYMPIC VILLAGE during one week.  With the theme "GIB SCHMALLES!" several sportive and cultural activities take place in an international atmosphere. The idea of this event is to connect the traditional sports meeting with two other events of the summer semester - the campus festival and the International Summer School.

The Job Fair Smile!

The enterprise job fair SMILE! takes place every May on the campus of the University of Applied Sciences Schmalkalden. For the participating enterprises it offers the possibility of early recruitment of young, highly qualified and motivated employees from Thuringian Universities. Aim of the fair is to establish contact between the economy and young graduates in an uncomplicated and effective way on an annual basis. Besides the fait the Smile! offers lectures of the involved enterprises as well as an attractive supporting program. Before, during and after the several events suitable thematically seminars and workshops take place.
